Start visiting the former capital of Vietnam, two temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the two heroes who lived in 10th century and chose Hoa Lu as the capital city of Dai Viet. Proceed to Tam Coc for lunch (no meat).
Afternoon:<\/strong>\u00a0We spend 2 hours on small rowing boats, discover beautiful Tam Coc. Tam Coc is known as \"Halong Bay on land\" boasting breathtaking scenery, \u201cTam Coc\u201d means three caves. Continue driving 2km to Bich Dong Grotto (emerald-like grotto). Standing on the top of Upper pagoda, your eyes will catch the overall panorama of paddy fields between Truong Yen Mountain. The king conferred the title \u201cVietnam\u2019s second nicest grotto\u201d on Bich Dong. A scene of the popular French movie \"Indochine\" had been completed here in 1991.
